French Onion Soup, Quick and Easy Soup for Lunch With Couton and Cheese, A Minute Under
the Broiler to Brown the Cheese. Make Any Restaurant Jealous! Great with Your Favorite Sandwich or Salad.
French Onion Soup about 8 servings Soup Instructions: 2 large white or red onion, sliced, then 1/2 'd 2 tbsp beef base 6 cups water 1 tsp garlic, chopped 1/2 tsp white pepper 1 tsp olive oil 1
c red wine (dry)
Topping: 8 slices toasted bread(crust off) 8-slices swiss cheese
In large sautee pan, medium high heat, place oil, onions, garlic and white pepper. Sautee until onions are caramelized. Then
in a large pot, place water, contents of sautee pan and wine. Slow boil for about 1 1/2 hours. Stir occasionaly.
Have individual bowls (oven proof) and fill 3/4 way with soup. Float toast then swiss cheese on top. Place under
broiler until cheese starts to bubble. Serve.
Note: Makes a great starter when you have guests.
A Great Soup for Lunch with Sandwiches or Salad. Nice with London Broil or other beef, chicken, or seafood entree.
